POSITION:        Data Analyst 
DEPARTMENT:    Technology
LOCATION:     Washington, DC

Position Summary:
The Democratic National Committee is currently seeking a dependable, highly motivated, well-organized individual to serve as a Data Analyst as part of the Voter File team.. The Data Analyst will work closely with other members of the DNC Data Services Department in providing critical voterfile data to Democratic campaigns across the country.

Responsibilities:
•    Process incoming voter lists, election history and other data sets in to the DNC National Voter File, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of the process.
•    Work with the Voter File team to maintain and improve the file update process
•    Run ad-hoc analysis to investigate problems or answer questions about the National Voter File
•    Collaborate with others in the  Data Services team to meet the data needs of Democratic Campaigns and Committees
•    Coordinate the collection and aggregation of voter file and elections data from elections officials and campaigns.

About You:
You are committed to progressive causes and electing Democrats. You have 1 or 2 years of practical experience working with campaign data or in a technology field with a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent. You have experience with and enjoy working on a team in a fast-pace environment.  You have experience working with SQL relational databases and an understanding of basic ETL concepts.  You may also have:

•    Experience loading, manipulating and processing large data files (especially voter files or similar data)
•    Familiarity with basic data warehousing 
•    Some experience programming in languages such as Python, Ruby, PHP or Java
