Senior Communications Associate
Established Manhattan-based political consulting firm is currently seeking a diverse, highly motivated, ambitious Senior Communications Associate to join our team. The Senior Communications Associate will be responsible for implementing the communications strategy of a multifaceted portfolio of clients; including not-for-profits, political campaigns, elected officials and corporate entities.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Drafting comprehensive communications strategies to increase both client visibility as well as the firm's presence in the media.
- Maintaining and creating content for web and social media presence, including the website, strategic use of e-mail, Facebook, Twitter and other new media.
- Building press calendars that incorporate events and activities as well as earned media opportunities.
- Leading and directing earned media efforts, including organizing and coordinating news events, drafting press releases and making outreach to media.
- Developing strategies for the use of letters to the editor and op-eds in newspapers and magazines as needed.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Knowledge of industry and existing media relationships required.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in New York media.
- Extraordinary attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Bachelors degree or higher.
Compensation will commensurate with experience.

Account Associate
Established Manhattan consulting firm is currently seeking a highly motivated, ambitious Account Associate to join our team. We serve a wide range of political, not for profit, issue advocacy and corporate clients. We are a small, fast-paced team that provides our clients with Fundraising, Communications and Lobbying services. The associate position will mainly focus on supporting client fundraising activities but may include communications and campaign activities.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
· Working with Non – Profit/Political clients to develop and execute fundraising plans.
· Researching grant/donor targets and develop action plans to bring contributions & funding in
· Assist in coordination of Major Gift Strategies.
· Coordinating and managing fundraising events (i.e. house parties, meet n' greets, galas etc.) and all planning associated with events, including contribution collection and organization.
· Building and maintaining client databases
· Managing/directing/staffing call-time sessions and operations with clients and relevant staff.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- Confidence, tact and a professional manner.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Extraordinary attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple non-competing accounts and support staff.
- Ability to manage relationships with high profile clients.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience with NGP, Raisers Edge, E Tapestry or other fundraising software.
- Minimum 1 year of fundraising experience in either the Political or Non Profit fields.
Compensation will commensurate with experience.
