Apply for the Friends Committee on National Legislation Young Fellows Program

The Friends Committee on National Legislation is looking for applications for its Young Fellows Program, a post-graduate opportunity in Washington, DC for people interested in public policy, advocacy, and issues of peace and social justice.

FCNL Young Fellows spend 11 months working with key staff members to build expertise in advocacy from a public interest perspective. The program is full-time and paid a subsistence-level salary with benefits. Fellows work under the title "program assistant" and work directly with FCNL lobbyists and other senior staff, gaining first-hand knowledge of the legislative process and the organizing and communications work that is necessary for policy change.

FCNL is a Quaker lobby In the public interest. For more than 70 years, peace and justice have been the core of our work on Capitol Hill. In our lobbying, we connect historic Quaker testimonies on peace, equality, simplicity, and truth with issues and legislation in Washington. We achieve our legislative goals by working with Congress on Capitol Hill while also developing and maintaining a network of over 60,000 activists around the country who work with us.

Applications are due February 15, 2015. For more information and the complete application instructions, visit http://futureadvocate.org/program/young-fellows/
