A highly competitive Congressional race in upstate New York is seeing to hire a dynamic and creative Communications Director to be able to drive and maintain our current momentum in the press.
- Work with Campaign Manager and consultants to help develop and implement a focused messaging strategy
- Create and maintain good relationships with local and national press
- Draft and send press releases and set up press events
- Manage social media accounts
- Monitor daily local and national press
- Assist and direct political research for the campaign
Qualifications:
- 1-2 cycles of communications/press experience required
- Strong, creative writing and editing skills
- Ability to manage multiple different relationships with multiple types of press
- Adaptability and quick thinking
