The Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC) works to win state legislative seats and chambers for Democrats.


The DLCC's mission is to build and maintain winning, state-of-the-art campaign committees in all 50 states by providing campaign services through a continuing partnership with legislative leaders, professional staff, and supporters.  DLCC spending priorities are focused on legislative seats and chambers where we can impact Democratic majority status in the current election cycle. 


Position


The DLCC is seeking a State Fundraising Manager to work in its political department. The State Fundraising Manager will work with regional political staff, in-state caucus staff and other in-state partners to create and implement a state-based finance plan.


This position will report to the National Political Director and work in coordination with the finance department. The position is based in Washington, DC.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Creating and implementing a multi-state fundraising plan to systematically increase state-based giving
  • Cultivating and maintaining relationships with donors in states across the country
  • Prospecting new donors through research and analysis of past contributions
  • Conducting appropriate donor follow-up, responding to all requests and inquiries
  • Work with political team to write in-state fundraising plan
  • Work with political team to meet quarterly and annual goals
  • Coordinate meetings, materials and event prep for political department members
  • Work with finance team to map out potential DLCC donors
  • Report progress weekly to finance department
  • Attend finance department weekly meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

Ideal Qualifications:

  • At least two cycles of experience working on a campaign, party committee, or PAC and fundraising
  • Proficient with NGPVAN platform
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks appropriately
  • Knowledge of state legislative politics a plus. A willing to learn state politics is a requirement
  • Demonstrated commitment to Democratic state legislative candidates, campaigns, and caucuses
