JOB SUMMARY: The Website Manager will oversee and manage the Los Angeles LGBT Center's (Center) web properties, including the Center's main website and program, campaign, and event microsites.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1) Manage day-to-day, mid-range, and long-term website projects, from planning to execution;
2) Publish, monitor, and maintain all website content, ensuring that it is up-to-date and current;
3) Design and build-out additional website pages and content sections;
4) Work with Digital Communications Manager to maintain brand, mission, and content fidelity across all Center website properties;
5) Develop and manage website procedures, policies, standards, and best practices for all Center website properties;
6) Manage research, development, implementation, evaluation, and adjustments of website content for the promotion of various Center programs, services, events, campaigns, and activities (including fundraising and breaking news), working across Center departments as needed and with an emphasis on end-user experience;
7) Manage user permissions and facilitate positing of content by other Center employees; Provides training as necessary;
8) Identify and report on measurable website analytics and metrics, and successfully adjust strategies based on results;
9) Successfully manage website components of integrated marketing projects in collaboration with other team members;
10) Work effectively with Center's Information Technology department and Chief Information Officer as needed to troubleshoot technical errors and integrate new technologies;
11) Manages CRM and email lists; Actively develop and implement new engagement tactics to grow email database;
12) Directly manage project work of Digital Communications coordinators;
13) Recruit and manage Digital Communications interns and volunteers;
14) Manage outside vendors and website-specific consultants and freelancers;
15) Identify and integrate website industry and technology trends, ideas, best practices, and innovations;
16) Represent the Center at community and stakeholder-related functions, events, and activities;
17) Identify and complete professional development opportunities and activities focused on skills and management progression;
18) Other duties as assigned;
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
1) Minimum 3 years of experience, ideally for a nonprofit organization, managing websites and related content;
2) Demonstrable experience with Civi CRM, Joomla, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, Google Analytics, and various website content management systems;
3) Ability to effectively troubleshoot and correct website errors, including browser compatibility;
4) Familiarity with SEO practices and implementation;
5) Experience with designing, building, and implementing website pages and microsites;
6) Proven ability and experience working in a collaborative team environment;
7) Strong writing, editing, and communications skills;
8) A creative and detail-orientated self-starter who can work quickly and independently in a fast-paced campaign environment, managing multiple projects in an ever-changing environment;
9) Willing and able to work evenings and weekends, when necessary;
10) Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, photography, and videography, a plus;
11) Proven track record of work with a strong customer-centric focus;
12) Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people of diverse races, ethnicities, ages, and sexual orientations in a multicultural environment;
13) A passion for the Center's work and its mission to make the world a better place for LGBT people.
