GBA Strategies, a progressive DC-based public opinion research firm, is seeking a talented intern for a paid internship, starting immediately through the November election. This is a great opportunity to learn about public opinion research from a team of experts with decades of experience in the field.
Responsibilities will include:
• Conducting background research on issues, candidates, and districts
• Proofreading and editing of documents such as questionnaires, memos, and presentations
• Ensuring quality control of the research process, including survey design testing and live research monitoring
• The ideal candidate would be a current college student, graduate student, or recent college graduate who is hardworking, interested in progressive politics, and comfortable with Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Powerpoint, and Excel). All candidates must demonstrate a strong attention to detail. Prior internships, political experience, a demonstrated interest in Democratic politics, and/or statistical backgrounds are a plus
Minimum of 15 hours/week in our downtown DC office, mostly during the late afternoon and early evening hours. Some work can be done from home. Previous internships, and/or demonstrated interest in Democratic politics a plus but not required.
