Overview:
The Colorado Democratic Senate Campaign Fund is an initiative of the Colorado Democratic Party with the primary objective of winning
as many Democratic seats as possible in the Colorado State Senate. Democrats currently serve in the minority by a 1 seat 17-18
margin. The Colorado State Senate will be a national target by Democrats and Republicans in the 2016 election cycle.
The DSCF is in search of a very qualified candidate to serve as Campaign Manager on a highly targeted Senate race. This campaign is already experiencing dark money, Koch-led groundwork and ad hits. The ideal candidate will start as soon as possible. Supporter housing may be available.
Responsibilities:
The Campaign Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the campaign, including:
- Overseeing campaign operations for the race
- Managing candidate call time
- Staffing events
- Commitment to knocking doors with candidate
- Representing the campaign in front of allied organizations
- Implementing established strategy, finance, and field plans, and making necessary updates and changes to plans
- Serving as the liaison between the DSCF and the campaign
- Managing and recruiting staff and volunteers
- Ensuring the campaign meets fundraising, door-knocking, and direct voter metrics
- Working nights, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 full cycles of experience (at least one in a contentious/contested race) and expert working knowledge of VAN and its related field components
- Call time management experience
- Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
- Strong oral and verbal communication skills
- Previous political campaign and/or organizing experience
- Experience with grassroots organizing
- Detail-oriented
- A reliable vehicle and phone is required.
Salary:
