Team Overview
The Colorado Coordinated Campaign is seeking Regional Organizing Directors (RODs) as we engage and empower communities in Colorado to help elect Democratic candidates across the state. The Coordinated Campaign is the umbrella organization under which the state party combines its resources and focuses its efforts to ensure that all Democrats in the state, including the Democratic presidential nominee, are elected.
Role Overview
The primary responsibility of a ROD is to manage organizers who recruit, manage and train volunteers. Other responsibilities include developing regional organizing plans that reflect the needs and realities of their communities. They will also oversee the hiring, training, and management of organizers. RODs report directly to a Deputy Organizing Director.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Including, but not limited to:
● Coaching organizers to develop volunteer teams
● Coordinating organizing management
● Ensuring data integrity
● Facilitating and evaluating region-wide events
● Orchestrating earned media opportunities
● Building relationships with local political and community leaders
Required Skills & Background
● Experience managing and coaching multiple staff
● Skilled in team-based, volunteer-led organizing
● Comfortable with managing from metrics; Has an understanding of organizing data
● Familiarity with campaign technology platforms
● Attention to detail and strategic viewpoints
● Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
