Red to Blue Program Director


The Red to Blue Program Director will be responsible for setting individualized voter contact goals for participating campaigns, holding weekly check-ins with participating campaigns, and holding campaigns responsible for meeting their agreed upon goals. In addition, the Red to Blue Program Director will work with DFL Communications staff, House and Senate campaign staff, and other participating partners to develop monthly messaging content to share with participating campaigns who can localize the messaging to fit their needs.

Responsibilities

 

        Meet with candidates and campaign teams in assigned districts on a regular basis to set and maintain individualized goals and action plans which include but are not limited to direct voter contact, fundraising, and budgeting metrics

        Provide campaign guidance, support, and tools to help campaigns reach their individualized goals

        Assist with voterfile usage and training, monitor campaign direct voter contact progress

        Interface with caucus and party communications staff to provide up to date rural and exurban issue messaging and work with local campaigns to identify, incorporate and highlight localized issues

        Report to the House and Senate Field Directors and the DFL Executive Director. Provide weekly quantitative and qualitative report to the participating partners on each participating campaign's progress toward goals

 

Requirements

        Experience working on a caucus or coordinated campaign (multiple cycles preferred)

        Strong understanding of campaign finance laws and state level races

        Experience working in rural legislative district campaigns

        Collaborative and problem-solving approach

        Campaign and staff management experience

        Experience establishing and achieving voter contact goals

        Experience and ability using and training campaigns on Voterfile usage and best practices

 

Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
