SUMMARY:
NextGen Climate is currently seeking an administrative assistant with a strong work ethic, combined with a vast set of skills and experiences. This particular role is critical in supporting one of our major principals who leads a variety of entities and efforts related to climate change, advanced energy, sustainable food systems, and socially responsible finance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage appointments, travels, documents, onsite and offsite meetings, and correspondences
- Proactively and independently handle day-to-day administrative operational matters for our principals
- Execute tasks involving a high level of organization and attention to detail
- Support with tracking projects and related deadlines
- Assist in planning events
- Manage contacts through Salesforce
- Identify areas for improvement; streamline processes and procedures
- Maintain up-to-date expense reporting
- Cover reception as needed
- Other relevant administrative tasks as needed
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- 2+ years of experience in an administrative role
- Highly organized with an attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field to beneficial banking, food systems, energy policy, and/or politics preferred
- Event planning experience a plus
- Comfortable working collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced workplace
- Strong writing skills
- High level of discretion and confidentiality required
