[jobsthatareLEFT] Outreach Coordinator - CODEPINK Women for Peace - LA or DC

Are you sick of the US perpetrating endless wars around the world and the military industrial complex eating up trillions of dollars that could instead fund healthcare, green energy, or paying off student loans? Do you want to be on the cutting edge of regenerating the anti-war movement, with exciting direct actions in the face of power almost every day?

CODEPINK is seeking a motivated and action-oriented Outreach Coordinator to help the us expand and strengthen our supporter base and local chapters. We need to rebuild the antiwar movement into the next administration –– no matter who ends up in the White House, it's not looking good for peace, and we need to organize powerful opposition now.

CODEPINK is a women-led grassroots organization working to end U.S. wars and militarism, support peace and human rights initiatives, and redirect our tax dollars into healthcare, education, green jobs and other life-affirming programs. We actively oppose U.S. militarism, torture, the detention center at Guantanamo, weaponized and spy drones, the prosecution of whistleblowers, U.S. support for the Israeli occupation of Palestine and repressive regimes. Rooted in a network of local organizers, online supporters and generous donors, our tactics range from pressuring elected officials to street theatre, civil resistance, and directly challenging powerful decision-makers in government and corporations.

The perfect match for this position must be deeply committed to peace and justice, women's empowerment, and protecting human rights. They must possess excellent political analysis, be adaptable to rapidly shifting programmatic developments, and eager to seize media opportunities.
