Description: North Shore Strategies is looking for reliable petitioners (Democrats and Independents) for several upcoming races taking place in New York city. To be on the ballot for these races, we need to collect signatures from Democrats and Independents. To do so, we are looking to hire registered independents and registered Democrats to collect these signatures. This job will entail talking to registered voters and walking around in the field. This job is ideal for people who enjoy working outside and wish to get involved in the political process.
Roles & Tasks:
- Door to door canvassing: You will be assigned a packet of doors with the names of registered Democrats or independents each day you come in to the office. You will be expected to ask these voters for their signatures so that our candidates can be on the ballot.
- Quantity id collection: On some days, you may be asked to go to a high-density shopping area (within the district) and ask voters who are passing by to sign the petition.
- Data entry: During your shifts, you will be asked to input all data either on a device we give to you or on the physical packet we give you.
Location: Our office is located on Jamaica Ave, right off of the Cross Island Pkwy (Floral Park, NY).
