The Tennessee House Democratic Caucus is an organization dedicated to the election of Democrats to the Tennessee House of Representatives. The Caucus serves to assist candidates in their campaign through technical and financial support in order to expand our caucus and ensure our common values of hard-work, opportunity and fairness are reflected in the legislature.
Position Summary
· Campaign managers will need to be able to create and maintain a budget.
· Campaign managers will be required to know how to target voters to maximize the use of limited campaign resources.
· Campaign managers will direct canvass operations and be willing to go door-to-door throughout the campaign.
· Campaign managers will assist their candidates in developing a message, promoting that message, and ensuring the campaign stays on message.
· Campaign managers will be responsible for all aspects of their campaign, from finance and field to press and compliance.
Required Skills
· Candidates for the position should have great organizational skills that will be required to maintain a professional operation.
· Candidates must have strong communications skills, including written and verbal communication.
· Candidates will be expected to work long hours throughout the duration of the campaign while maintaining a positive attitude.
· Candidates must be able to work well with a team, both in their campaign and with the Caucus and Party.
· Candidates should have prior campaign experience, preferably in various different positions within the campaign.
· Candidates should have reliable transportation and be willing to relocate for their position if required.
Salary
Salary for this position is competitive and depends on prior experience.
