GOTV Director
Location: Texas 23rd Congressional District
Position Summary
The Texas Democratic Party is seeking an experienced GOTV Director to work on competitive congressional race for the 2016 cycle. The GOTV Director will be working across departments to help plan the campaign's GOTV program. With an extended GOTV period, the GOTV Director will play a critical role in our organization through planning and implementing a sophisticated GOTV operation. The GOTV Director will report directly to the Field Director and Campaign Manager. The GOTV Director is also responsible for opening staging locations and oversight of the field budget. They are also the main point of contact for all GOTV data in their district.
Responsibilities
· Drafting and executing the statewide GOTV plan
· Creating and conducting trainings for staff, volunteers, and voters on GOTV programs and best practices
· Helping create and implement GOTV reporting standards and procedures
· Helping secure and overseeing the process for securing GOTV staging locations throughout the state
· Supporting all field staff in the implementation of GOTV plans
Qualifications and Requirements
· At least three cycles of field experience on issue or electoral campaigns, with one cycle managing staff
· Extensive experience with the VAN and MyCampaign and commitment to using data to inform decisions
· Strong leadership skills, positive attitude, and ability to motivate staff members and create a supportive team environment
· Demonstrated commitment to coaching, empowerment, and leadership development of others, including an ability to deconstruct tasks, concepts, and directives and simplify them for others
· Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
· Personal experience with developing volunteer leadership
· Willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends
· Spanish Fluency Preferred
