[jobsthatareLEFT] Florida State Senate race seeks Finance Director

Targeted State Senate race in Tampa, Florida is looking for a Finance Director to start immediately.  Must be detail-oriented, professional, organized and willing to move to Tampa until the end of the campaign.  

 

New State Senate maps have created the most competitive state senate races in recent history and are drawing national attention. 

 

Some campaign experience preferred but willing to make an exception for the right candidate.  This is a great position for someone with field or entry-level finance experience to step up and advance professionally.  You must by a bachelor's degree, a valid driver's license, be willing to work long irregular hours and holidays.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

·      Managing candidate during fundraising call time including preparing all needed materials and follow-up.

 

·      Setting up fundraisers. Including but not limited to working with hosts or host committees on location and invitation.

 

·      Proficiency in data management, list building and research, including but not limited to political/fundraising database program NGP, Google docs and Excel.

 

·      Ability to communicate clearly by phone, email and in person.

 

·      Professional demeanor and comfort level in social situations.

 

·      Excellent writing skills.

 

·      Other jobs as assigned by candidate or campaign manager.

 

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

 

·      Strong attention to detail.

 

·      Good organization skills.

 

·      Willing to work long hours.

 

·      Campaign experience preferred but not required.

 

·      Campaign finance experience preferred but not required.

 

·      Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment and hit the ground running.

 

·      Ability to maintain a sense of humor in a high stress environment.
