Digital Analytics Manager
EMILY's List, the nation's largest resource for women in politics, is searching for a Digital Analytics Manager to join our Digital team. We recruit and train candidates, support strong campaigns, research women's issues, and turn out women voters. We've trained over 9,000 women to run and helped elect over 100 women to the House, 19 to the Senate, 11 governors, and over 700 to state and local office. Since its founding in 1985, almost one-third of the candidates EMILY's List has helped elect to Congress have been women of color - including every single Latina, African American, and Asian American Democratic congresswoman currently serving.
Principal Responsibilities
The Digital department is responsible for engaging and growing the community of people who support EMILY's List online. The department works closely with the Development, Communications, and Campaign teams to ensure our online program advances the organization's fundraising, growth, messaging, and electoral priorities.
The Digital Analytics Manager works as the primary data expert within the digital team, working to ensure the team makes data-driven decisions, especially in regards to email fundraising, online ad buys, and website optimization. As a part of the digital team, the Digital Analytics Manager fulfills a key role in furthering EMILY's List's mission of electing pro-choice Democratic women across the country.
Specific Duties
· Manage the flow of data from our website to our other databases;
· Provide daily fundraising updates and identify effective fundraising strategies;
· Work with our ad buyers to track short- and long-term ROI;
· Brainstorm, prioritize, execute, and analyze the results of A/B tests for email and website optimizations;
· Provide and update personalized datasets for email content;
· Other ad hoc analysis as needed
Qualifications
- Strong SQL and Microsoft Excel skills;
- Working knowledge of scripting language (Python preferred);
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience;
- Ability to pick up skills on the fly—teammates will look to you for help with unfamiliar tools
Preferred but not required
· Experience with statistical software and ability to analyze results of A/B tests;
· Experience with website tracking tools like Optimizely and/or Google Analytics;
· Experience with email tools like Blue State Digital or other databases like The Raiser's Edge
College degree and an interest in electing pro-choice Democratic women required.
