POSITION SUMMARY

KOFA is hiring a PROJECT COORDINATOR to work alongside the KOFA team in implementing public affairs campaigns for our non-profit, corporate, advocacy and electoral clients.  One year (or one election cycle) of experience with advocacy, electoral or communications campaigns is preferred but not required. Ideal candidates will have excellent written and verbal communications skills and a tireless work ethic.  This is an entry level, full time position with significant opportunity and encouragement for growth and advancement.  Candidates with a passion to begin a career in public affairs are strongly encouraged to apply.    

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Build, educate and mobilize broad and diverse base of supporters for client projects

·         Manage the day to day operations of phone banks and door-to-door campaigns

·         Develop social media content for client pages

·         Maintain and implement email campaigns

·         Maintain project data, budgets and databases

·         Support large event logistics, advance and turnout

·         Draft project materials, including but not limited to email alerts, phone bank and canvass scripts, event flyers and invitations, and more

·         Assist in project research

·         Track and disseminate daily media clips for all client projects

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Thrive in social environments

·         Be driven, creative, resourceful and excel under pressure

·         Be goal-oriented and have a strong work ethic

·         Possess the ability to quickly process new information about unfamiliar and/or nuanced policy issues

·         Must be willing to work long hours and weekends when necessary

·         Must enjoy communicating with new people on a regular basis

·         Demonstrated experience as a proactive, innovative, self-motivated individual who takes initiative

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Strong organizational skills and an unwavering attention to detail

 

BENEFITS:

50% paid healthcare. Salary is commensurate with experience.
