Americans for Tax Fairness, a national campaign of 425 endorsing organizations supporting federal tax reform at the national and state levels, is seeking a paid fellow to provide support for communications and digital media. We are a small staff, which provides a fellow with a valuable opportunity to work closely with a communications director and social media director on a full-time basis on a high-profile issue campaign. A stipend of $300 a week is offered.
Responsibilities
· Compiling and preparing daily press clips
· Designing infographics and memes for social media and the website
· Helping to maintain the website
· Researching and maintaining media lists
· Policy research support
· Participate in discussions of communications strategy
· Provide occasional general administrative support
Required skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel
· Knowledge of HTML, WordPress and/or Photoshop are optional but a major plus
· Good writing skills
· Experience doing research and compiling data. Willingness to continue digging to find the source materials referenced in popular media.
· Experience with social media, specifically Twitter, Facebook, and blogging
· Attention to detail. Someone who self-edits before sending material to supervisors.
· Individuals should be self-motivated and organized
