Digital Director for Startup Progressive Political Organization
A startup progressive political organization seeks a Digital Director to lead, manage, and grow our digital operation. The Digital Director will manage all aspects of the digital program, including email fundraising, social media, graphic design, website maintenance, list building, and managing digital consultants.
Responsibilities
· Write engaging and productive fundraising emails with rigorous testing and optimization, list-segmentation, and email list maintenance.
· Manage all social media accounts, while staying up-to-date on new social media opportunities.
· Develop online fundraising and engagement goals, and email calendars.
· Execute high-performing fundraising emails under tight deadlines
· Grow email list organically, and through digital advertising.
· Design engaging digital and print graphics
· Maintain and update website
· Work closely with the Communications Department to track breaking news that can be amplified online.
· Advise endorsed campaigns on digital strategy and best practices
· Ability to work long hours, nights, and weekends when necessary.
Qualifications
· Two or more years of digital experience fundraising emails, and managing a successful email program for a candidate, or political organization.
· Experience running an efficient digital advertising program.
· Experience and working knowledge of HTML/CSS.
· Excellent written and verbal communication, grammatical and copy editing skills
· Experience managing social media presence for a candidate, campaign, or organization
· Experience working with BSD, NGP, or similar CRM systems
· Understanding of web analytics tools, including Google Analytics
· Strong ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt quickly to changing work priorities
