Los Angeles Area Campaign seeking Canvass Directors to implement field program. Canvass Directors will be responsible for recruiting, training, and developing paid canvassers to lead efforts aimed and persuading and turning out voters.
Canvass Directors will gain invaluable experience and develop key skills with some of the top organizers and campaigners in the nation. Applicants should be committed to public education and be willing to put in the necessary work to win.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, and manage paid canvassers to implement the Campaign Field Plan.
- Lead recruitment and hiring process and conduct interviews of paid canvassers
- Plan and conduct all training activities for canvassing staff
- Manage paid canvassers and canvass leads on day-to-day basis
- Conduct rigorous quality control measures and ensure absolute data integrity
- Track and manage payroll and program budget
Qualifications:
- Experience hiring and managing paid canvassers and campaign staff
- At least one cycle of previous campaign staff experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to meet tight and competing deadlines, and the ability to manage many tasks simultaneously
- Superb attention to detail and diligence in tracking data and canvasser activity
- Working knowledge of political campaign structure and familiarity with campaign technology
- Ability to work long and irregular hours, including nights and weekends
- Good sense of humor and ability to adapt to a fast paced, changing work environment
- Bilingual is a plus
