FINANCE ASSOCIATE
Small Democratic fundraising firm in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced finance associate to manage a 5-7 client portfolio. Clients include Members of Congress, corporate PACs, and political candidates. Key responsibilities are as follows:
• Develop and implement finance plans for Member clients on a quarterly basis.
• Plan and execute DC & national PAC fundraising events, including: recruit prospective event hosts; coordinate with hosts and campaign staff on all of the event planning; track and follow up on RSVPs/commitments.
• Manage and develop Member call time, including identify PAC targets for Member call time; maintain client call books to re-solicit donors and pinpoint/engage new targets; reinforce client contact with follow-up calls and e-mails.
• Build strong relationships with donor community and serve as a liaison between clients and PACs.
• Meet and collaborate with clients and staff to address fundraising progress.
• Maintain the NGP donor database and other fundraising tools by tracking pledges, processing checks, updating lobbyist contact information, and entering relevant notes from client call time.
• Run miscellaneous errands as needed.
An ideal candidate must possess:
• 1-3 years of professional fundraising experience;
• A working knowledge of the NGP database;
• Strong interpersonal skills and a sense of humor;
• Proactive work ethic;
• Excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
