Description

 

National environmental campaign seeks talented and driven online campaigner to generate compelling content, coordinate with state level staffers and mobilize millions of citizens to slow, stop or weaken attacks on climate action.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

·        Draft compelling action alerts, engaging social media content, and rapid response materials

·        Serve as digital team's lead with the organizing team, supporting staff on the ground in key states by developing custom content and suggesting opportunities for digital support

·        Monitor relevant state-level events and propose tactics and materials around them

·        Develop and deliver digital trainings for a range of audiences

·        Write best practices documents

·        Support the scheduling and distribution of digital materials

·        Track and analyze social media performance data

·        Coordinate efforts with outside campaigns that focus on issues such as methane and fuel efficiency

 

Qualifications

·        1-2 years of experience generating digital content for an organization

·        Strong writing skills and the ability to distill complex ideas into succinct copy

·        Experience using digital tools to communicate with and motivate target groups to take action

·        Track record of delivering quality results to spec under tight timelines

·        Ability to coordinate effectively across departments and with external partners

·        A passion for driving action on climate change

·        Base level graphic design skills a plus (i.e. ability to create basic graphics for social media)
