BerlinRosen, a leading strategic communications firm, is seeking an Account Supervisor in our National Divison supporting both our Issue Advocacy and Labor & Economy practice areas.
The ideal candidate for this role will be able to strategize with clients, manage up and down, write and edit, while pitching media and clients. 4+ years experience in media relations, journalism, or related field is strongly preferred and this person can sit in either our DC or NYC office.
This position provides you with a unique opportunity to join a talented team dedicated to causes and positive change. The National Division works with major progressive organizations on some of the most high-profile issues of our time. BerlinRosen's current and recent clients are at the forefront of progressive work around health care, climate change, the economy, low-wage worker advocacy, women's issues, money in politics and ending mass incarceration.
Applicants should possess:
- 4+ years experience
- Strong news sense
- Experience in a communications-related role working with the media
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple assignments at once, work quickly and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with a team to meet group objectives
- Familiarity with social media
- Familiarity with and interest in local, state, and national politics and a commitment and passion for social change
- A sense of humor!
