Digital Director

314 Action, the only pro-science advocacy organization created explicitly to engage on both advocacy and electoral fronts, seeks a Digital Director to oversee digital strategy and manage the team responsible for online advocacy, fundraising, email, social media, optimization, paid acquisition, video, and design. The Digital Director will report to the Executive Director.
Responsibilities
Oversee all outbound digital communications—email, social, ads, video, etc.—and maintain a cohesive campaign calendar.
Draft internal quarterly campaign plans laying out the digital team's strategy to meet organizational goals.
Manage list-building efforts, working with outside contractors on paid acquisition and coordinating with partner organizations and campaigns.
Set short-term and long-term optimization strategy.
Report weekly to Executive Director on digital updates and tracking toward goals.
Manage a small team of full-time, part-time, and/or contract digital staff.
Qualifications
2+ years of professional digital experience, particularly in advocacy and fundraising.
Excellent written and verbal communication, grammatical and copy editing skills.
Comfort working with digital metrics, and understanding of optimization strategy, including familiarity with web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics.
Enthusiasm for politics, electoral campaigns, and STEM issues.
Managerial experience not required, but considered a plus.
Basic familiarity with CRMs, such as BSD, ActBlue, etc.
Strong ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt quickly to changing work priorities.
Working knowledge of basic HTML.
SQL skills and video/design background are both bonuses.
