Position Summary
-- Progressive Turnout Project seeks a Supporter Engagement Assistant to serve as the initial point of contact for our organization's supporters, be responsible for the creation of inventory for our online store, and oversee the administrative operations of our Chicago headquarters. Ideal candidates will have strong customer service skills. Additionally, we're looking for candidates with creative vision and a passion for electing Democrats and progressives to office.
The Supporter Engagement Assistant will report to the Administrative Director. This is a full-time, entry-level position based in downtown Chicago, Illinois.
Qualifications
• Strong customer service and organizational skills
• Ability to set and meet strict deadlines and goals
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and other online platforms
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Creative, outside-the-box thinking
• Passion for electing Democrats and progressives to office
Responsibilities
• Serve as initial point of contact for our organization's supporters, responding to phone calls and e-mails
• Brainstorm new online store items and maintain online store inventory
• Oversee administrative operations of organization's Chicago headquarters
• Assist with other administrative projects as needed and as time permits

Progressive Turnout Project is a grassroots Political Action Committee (PAC) with a single mission: get Democrats to the polls. We design, test, and execute specialized voter turnout programs targeting sporadic Democratic voters in the most competitive districts in the country. In 2016, PTP participated in 19 competitive congressional districts by putting more than 200 field staff on the ground, making more than 500,000 phone calls, and sending more than 2 million pieces of mail.
