We are seeking a dedicated Campaign Manager to run the upcoming campaign of a progressive candidate running for this first time to become a Delegate in Maryland's General Assembly. It is preferred, though not necessary, that this individual either live in or be familiar with district (Rockville, MD and Gaithersburg, MD).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maximize the candidate's ability to meet constituents, recruit volunteers and raise money
- Implement the campaign plan
- Schedule the candidate's time
- Make quick, well-informed decisions
- Display and enforce strict message discipline
- Align income and expenses
- Set clear expectations, empower, motivate and manage campaign staff and volunteers
- Bring volunteers, grass-roots organizations and like-minded unions on board
- Regularly report quantitative and qualitative data
- Mobilize groups for press events and voter outreach operations
Skills & Experience
- State campaign experience
- Leadership experience
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and VAN
Position Type: Initially part-time then full time
Salary: Commensurate with experience
