ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP
Mary Silver is a long-time progressive activist running for New York City Council in District 2. As a first-time candidate, the campaign is relying on grassroots support and organizing to propel her to victory.
Interns will have the opportunity to learn about every part of the campaign, from strategic planning, to voter outreach, to social media communications, to volunteer management.
Interns must commit to a minimum of 8 hours a week, although the campaign schedule is flexible and includes weekends.
REQUIREMENTS
· A positive attitude. You will be working with all different types of people and voters. Patience and positivity is a must.
· Interest in politics. You will be discussing both local and national issues with voters. A genuine interest in the issues is required.
· Strong work ethic. Campaigns are grueling, and sometimes the work is not glamorous. We need interns who are willing to put in the work.
· No experience necessary. We are happy to train anyone who is interested. Students of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
