A progressive democratic congressional candidate for the Nebraska 2nd is seeking a full-time Field Director to start mid-July on what will be one of the top-tier races for the 2018 cycle.

Field Director – Job Description
The Field Director will be responsible for executing all aspects of the field plan. A primary responsibility for the FD will be to ensure that we met or exceed the benchmarks identified in the Field Plan that will be written in conjunction with the Campaign Manager. The Field Director's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Assist in the development and evaluation of the organizing program through providing feedback on the team's progress and setting of appropriate goals.
Recruit, hire, train, and serve as the manager for field organizers.
Provide weekly goals for field organizers and hold them accountable to ensure strict metric goals are reached.
Working to ensure that volunteers are being used in the most effective ways possible.
Communicating to the Campaign Director issues that are being discussed while knocking on doors and in the community by voters.
Attending events with the Candidate.
Build political relationships among progressive and Democratic community members and leaders.
Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications - Non Negotiables
Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
At least one cycle of campaign experience in field.
Experience managing volunteers and/or staff.
Extremely organized and detail oriented. The Field Director is responsible for ensuring that dozens of tasks a day are completed and that the day-to-day of the field program runs smoothly.
Enthusiastic about politics and campaigning.
Strong communication skills, both in person and written. The Field Director is responsible for communicating with campaign senior staff, field organizers, political officials, and volunteers.
Votebuilder (VAN) and Google Suite proficiency.
Ability to manage an accountability structure for field program as a whole and for individual staff and volunteer team members.
Applicants must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, a personal laptop and cell phone.
Ability to work evenings and weekends.
Currently lives in eastern Nebraska or willing to relocate to eastern Nebraska. Housing may be provided for the duration of the campaign.
