Grassroots Campaigns is seeking a temporary Recruitment Assistant to join the leadership hiring team for the summer. This is an entry level position with potential opportunities for growth within the organization.


About Us: Grassroots Campaigns uses face-to-face outreach to rally average Americans behind issues like civil liberties, environmental protection, LGBT equality, poverty and social justice. Our firm partners with other political organizations to run their membership, fundraising and field organizing campaigns. From our early, game-changing work with the DNC and MoveOn, to our more recent partnerships with the ACLU, Southern Poverty Law Center and Planned Parenthood, Grassroots Campaigns has become a prominent force for the progressive movement.


Responsibilities:

  • ·         Posting: Developing a weekly posting plan; editing and posting job ads
  • ·         Tracking: Tracking and reporting on applicants generated by posted ads as well as the progress of candidates in the pipeline
  • ·         Screening: Reviewing applications and making decisions according to their qualifications and cultural fit
  • ·         Coordinating interviews: Scheduling, orchestrating logistics, and ensuring interviewers have all necessary information regarding the candidate

Qualifications: Strong communication skills, work ethic, and desire for political change are essential. Experience working in a campaign environment is strongly preferred. Candidates must also have the ability to work on a team as well as the ability to self-direct and work independently. Experience working with Google Drive and Microsoft Excel is required.


Location and Timing: This position is summer only and is based in Boston, MA.
