Field Organizer
Overview: Progressive Democratic Congressional Campaign in Southern Indiana is seeking a qualified Field Organizer for the districts' northern counties. Field Organizers will be responsible for growing the field program within their assigned areas and building capacity. FO's will also handle community engagement, such as being required to manage and maintain relationships with activists in their area. Field Organizers will report directly to the Field Director.
Responsibilities:
Recruit, train and manage Fellows, Interns, and Volunteers;
Expand the Volunteer Infrastructure and identify volunteers who can take on a larger role within the campaign;
Plan and manage phone banks and canvasses;
Knock on doors and make phone calls;
Reporting qualitative and quantitative data to the Field Director;
Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data entered into the database; and
Perform other duties as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Demonstrated interest and commitment to progressive candidates and causes;
Exceptionally well-organized with the ability to meet strict deadlines;
Excellent written and verbal communications skills;
Strong knowledge of Google Drive, including proficiency with Excel;
Ability to work long, irregular hours in a fast-paced, metrics-driven team environment;
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team;
Must have access to a reliable vehicle, driver's license, and the ability to relocate as needed;
A working cell phone and laptop computer; and
An amazing sense of humor and winning mentality.
Preferred Background & Qualifications:
Previous campaign experience; and
Votebuilder/VAN proficiency.
