Senator Scott Surovell's office is seeking a deputy legislative aide for the 2018 Virginia Legislative Session to help draft constituent correspondence, press releases, social media posts, and other communications. The position is based in Richmond and is full time. The Aide will serve on a small dynamic team and must have experience producing graphics. This position requires strong interpersonal, writing, and visual editing skills. Session is fast-paced and high pressure so the candidate should perform well under stress.
Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required. THIS IS A PAID POSITION. Monthly stipend of $1,500. If interested, please send a resume, graphic design sample, and short writing sample to district36@senate.virginia.gov. The writing sample could be a press release, constituent letter, or blog post.
