Here are the positions we are hiring for:
Power Builder (aka Director of Field & Outreach): Coordinates field strategy, manages canvass and phone banks, provides weekly reporting on voter contact goals, and prepare canvass packets.Power Peeps (aka Campaign Fellows): Fellows engage in policy, research, canvass, and phone banks, and assist with data entry and reporting throughout the campaign. Based on skill sets, Fellows can will be able to shape their work around areas of interests that help to recruit people to the campaign (as supporters or voters). Policy fellows will work closely with our policy director to help draft policy statements and participate in outreach to various communities.Mic Check Manager (aka Deputy Communications Manager): Assists Director of Communications with implementing communications strategy. Manages day-to-day communications activity, including emails, social media updates, physical mailings, and media engagement.
** About Brandy Brooks' Campaign: It's time for everyday people to have a voice in our politics and policies. That's why Brandy is running. She is a community organizer and activist on food justice, housing, and land use and understands that when we build power within our communities it transforms our lives, our economy, and our future.
** No Corporate Money: Brandy is participating in the public election system in Montgomery County. She is only taking contributions up to $150 from individuals - no corporations, no PACs, just everyday people. Every Montgomery County resident that contributes will have their contribution match up to 4 times through the public election fund. Learn more at brandy4montgomery.com
Note: All positions are unpaid until the campaign qualifies for matching funds. Estimated hours vary for each job and will gradually increase closer to election dates and depending on other events during the campaign. We will accept part-time and full-time candidates for positions (with the exception of field director). Work will be remote, primarily.
