DLCC: Deputy National Field Director
Be a part of the team that will be instrumental to the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC) taking back our state legislatures and—by winning crucial redistricting fights— remaking the U.S. Congress to re-enfranchise millions of voters and end the GOP-led gridlock that's paralyzing our government.
Our task is no less than to teach a generation of voters about the central role their state legislatures play in their day-to-day lives, and in the shaping of the country.
The mission is to win Democratic majorities and build Democratic power in state legislatures.
Role
The DLCC is currently seeking resumes for qualified candidates interested in serving as Deputy National Field Director. This is a campaign position through December 2018 based in Washington, DC and will report to the National Field Director.
The Deputy National Field Director is expected to model the values of the DLCC:

Responsibilities
- · The Deputy National Field Director will be responsible for working with targeted state legislative caucuses and campaigns on creating plans, monitoring progress and troubleshooting challenges.
- · The Deputy National Field Director will create training content, and manage large scale trainings.
- · The Deputy National Field Director lead the DLCC's effort to implement an aggressive national Get Out The Vote operation.
- · The Deputy National Field Director will work with the National Field Director to create and manage national reporting and to establish national standards for state legislative campaigns.
- · The Deputy National Field Director will be responsible for integrating DLCC Field Departmental priorities into the overall mission of the DLCC.

Expected Outcomes
· DLCC is providing high level support to legislative caucus and legislative campaign field directors.
· DLCC is delivering high level staff and volunteer trainings and training materials.
· DLCC is gathering actionable intelligence on the day to day of targeted state legislative campaigns.
· DLCC is a critical part of the field strategy and field plans for targeted state legislative campaigns.
· Projects led by the Deputy National Field Director are in alignment with the DLCC's strategic mission and goals.
Qualifications
· At least three campaign cycles of experience;
· At least two campaign cycles managing staff;
· Experience working with state legislative caucuses/campaigns;
· Experience working directly with candidates;
· Experience with VAN/VoteBuilder;
· Experience with designing and tracking daily reporting;
· Self-motivation and the ability to anticipate and prevent problems;
· Experience designing curriculum for large trainings;
· A strong commitment to electing democratic candidates;
· Extensive experience with Word and Excel;
· Comfort with a rigorous travel schedule;
· Must be highly organized, highly motivated and capable of working in a demanding work environment.
