[jobsthatareLEFT by GAIN] NYC Public Engagement Unit Seeks Outreach Staff

The NYC Public Engagement Unit (PEU) identifies and executes proactive strategies to connect more New Yorkers to key City services. Relying heavily on data analytics, new technologies, and large-scale outreach tactics, the unit identifies New Yorkers in need of assistance and helps them navigate and obtain city services.

The Tenant Support Unit (TSU), within the PEU, proactively engages New Yorkers who may be at risk of displacement or harassment and connects them with a range of City resources. Since its launch in July, 2015, the TSU has knocked on more than 100,000 doors and called more than 60,000 households across NYC to identify tenant's issues and case manage each issue to resolution. We are seeking Tenant Support Specialists with deep experience with community-based outreach and case management. Successful candidates should have at least one year of community, issue, labor or political organizing experience, and excellent communications and outreach skills. The candidate should have demonstrated ability to closely track metrics and outcomes, and be detail-oriented and organized.
