Position: Operations Manager
Organization: National Democratic Training Committee
Location: Chicago, IL
The NDTC is excited to be hiring an Operations Manager. This person will be the glue that keeps our operation together as they help manage our multi-million dollar training program. This position works directly with every department, but specifically the CEO and Director of Live Training to execute events in all fifty states and run the day-to-day office operations in Chicago, IL.
Job Description
Core responsibilities:
Support and assist the Director of Live Training with operational and logistical support for 50+ live training events across the country.
Assist CEO with administrative, human resource, and operational needs, including creating and facilitating systems and processes to ensure the office runs smoothly.
Manage and oversee a competitive internship program.
Manage day-to-day office operations of Chicago office.
Assist Digital Director in monitoring inbound NDTC communication from learners, donors, and others.
Serve as the liaison with external operations vendors.
Assist the online training and communications teams with projects, as time permits.
This position may require some travel to assist with live trainings across the country.
Ideal candidates will have:
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
A keen attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
Comfort with budgets, spreadsheets, and managing various simultaneous projects.
1-3 years of professional experience in Democratic politics, political campaigns, executive administration or logistics.
A good sense of humor and work well in a collaborative, team environment.
Thrive in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines.
