DEPUTY DIGITAL DIRECTOR

Job Description
The North Carolina Democratic Party seeks a dynamic Deputy Digital Director to implement our Digital Organizing program during the 2018 cycle. This person will implement a digital organizing strategy created in collaboration with the Digital Director, Field Director, Political Director, and Data Director to support and train field organizers, recruit volunteers online, and provide digital support to elected officials, local candidates, county parties, and auxiliary groups – bridging the gap between online and offline organizing. This role will also be responsible for leveraging state and local fights to mobilize in communities across North Carolina online.
Responsibilities
· Execute Digital Organizing Strategy: Execute a comprehensive digital organizing program for multiple campaigns, design branded digital assets and provide additional digital support.
· Manage and Deploy Innovative Digital Tools: Utilize political data, field goals, and digital organizing tools to help elect Democrats across North Carolina.
· Provide Support: Manage multiple digital organizing campaigns for a diverse set of stakeholders including organizers, local parties, and candidates. Train and inform key leaders on digital organizing efforts.
· Assist with Social Media Planning: Participating in content brainstorming with Digital and Communications Director and manage a highly detailed digital content calendar.
· Help Write and Proofread Content: Write and edit creative, engaging copy for multiple platform and audiences that inspire constituents to take online action.
Requirements
· Know your way around the Adobe Creative Suite.
· Experience working with progressive CRMs like Blue State Digital, NGP, or Action Network.
· Experience working with the WordPress CMS platform and understand the basics of CSS and HTML5.
· Love to write compelling content for a diverse set of social platforms including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
· Have a customer-service oriented and strong work ethic
· Able to work in a highly collaborative environment, manage multiple tasks, and stay calm under pressure
· Worked or interned in a politics, nonprofit, or advocacy organization for at least 1 cycle.
Salary commensurate with experience.
We are looking for someone with a start-date in February 2018 who will work through Election Day.
