Senate Majority PAC

Senate Majority PAC (SMP) is seeking a motivated, organized and detail-oriented individual to serve as executive assistant to the president for the 2018 election cycle. Senate Majority PAC is the only super PAC solely dedicated to winning back the Democratic majority in the U.S. Senate. Senate Majority PAC, based in Washington, D.C., was founded in 2011 by a group of the nation's top Democratic strategists, including the PAC's current president, J.B. Poersch.


Responsibilities:


Manage the day-to-day administrative affairs of the president. Schedule all appointments and other commitments, coordinating the president's dynamic and complex schedule.

Organize conference calls and meetings amongst large groups, juggling many busy calendars.

Review all of the president's correspondence and communications, often confidential; flag

communications requiring the president's attention or identify the appropriate person at SMP to

respond in place of the president;

Screen incoming calls to the president, determine nature of the call and whether or not it requires the

attention of the president.

Make and review all travel arrangements for the president.

Track and report on agreed action items to ensure completion.

Coordinate with SMP staffers to prepare presentations and materials for the president.

Assist the chief operating officer (COO) as requested, such as performing various office administrative

duties as assigned by the COO.


Qualifications:


Experience as a junior staff member in politics, advocacy and/or policy;

Previous campaign or Hill experience is strongly preferred, but not required;

Highly organized and detail-oriented;

Excellent research and writing skills;

Strong interpersonal skills;

Ability to write, proofread and fact-check with precision on deadline;

Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment;

Ability to adapt to changing needs and work non-traditional hours when needed;

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and 1-2 years of work experience.
