A competitive Midwest Statewide Campaign is seeking full‐time Deputy Field Director applicants for a statewide field program. Deputy Field Directors will be responsible for executing the statewide field plan and for supervising Regional Field Directors, along with their Field Organizers, within their assigned areas. Deputy Field Directors will report directly to the Field Director.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Daily management of Regional Field Directors, including setting and managing priorities for Regionals, and assisting Regionals in setting daily priorities and directives for Field Organizers.
· Ensuring that daily, weekly, and monthly goals are met and exceeded.
· Extensively coach staff daily on volunteer recruitment, volunteer management, volunteer retention, as well as intern management and intern retention.
· Ensuring that all required reporting is accurate and timely, and monitoring metrics within each region on the health of the volunteer program and the health of the internship program.
· Executing a multifaceted DVC program designed to engage voters consistently throughout the course of the campaign in urban, suburban, and rural areas of the state.
· Assisting with staff recruitment, on boarding, and training.
· Perform other duties as needed and assigned.
Qualifications:
· At least two cycles of competitive field experience managing staff.
· Strong knowledge of Votebuilder/VAN.
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Basic computer literacy and database skills also required.
· Ability to work long and irregular hours in a fast paced, metrics driven work environment.
· Ability to meet deadlines under pressure while handling multiple projects.
· Ability to relocate in-state for the duration of the campaign.
· Must have reliable access to a vehicle and a valid driver's license, as well as a fully functioning laptop computer and smartphone.
