Texas Victory Project, is seeking a full-time Email Organizing Director for an aggressive volunteer, internship, and paid canvassing programs. Email Organizing Director will be responsible for raising millions in coordination with our Digital Organizing Director using Hustle, Grove IA, Blue State Digital, and the newest campaign technology to ensure we win, flip one of Texas most competitive races, and build the long-term progressives infrastructure that will win real victories before and after November 6th for the working-poor. Email Organizing Director reports directly to our Digital Organizing Director.
Responsibilities:
Develop, organize, manage, and build one of the largest email multilingual email campaigns raise, turnout, and recruit thousands of Texans across the Lone Star State.
Direct a team of organizers and strategists from diverse backgrounds in support of organizational goals
Ensure that daily, weekly, and monthly goals are met and exceeded.
Ensuring that all required reporting is accurate and timely and that all regional data is entered on time.
Follow up with email-specific voters and be able to make over 100 dials per day.
Monitor metrics with each assigned universe and work with Campaign Manager and Digital Organizing Director to test, polish, and create the most precise email and digital grassroots campaign.
Be able to train and launch volunteers in field and our fundraising department based the needs of the campaign and the reality on the ground.
Qualifications
At least two or more cycles of competitive field, fundraising, and digital-specific email blasting and targeting.
Good artistic taste and two or more years of graphic design, web development, and graphic design
Strong knowledge of Votebuilder/VAN.
Strong writing and editing skills as well as being able to pay attention to detail
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Basic computer literacy, database skills, and access to a reliable portable computer.
Deep expertise with website CMS, CRM, or online organizing platforms (e.g. Blue State Digital, Convio, Silverpop, ActionKit)
Comfort with mail list segmentation and A/B testingAbility to work long and irregular hours in a fast paced, metrics driven work environment.
Must have reliable access to a vehicle.
Ability to meet deadlines under pressure while handling multiple projects.
Ability to work independently and in team settings.
Strong coaching skills and abilities.
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to successfully relate to voters and volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds.
Winning mentality.
Have a good sense of humor.
Strong language acquisitions skills, bilingual preferred but not required. Google translate and knocking on doors will allow you to know your DVC and Email Universe as well as the unique hybrid mix between English and Spanish (Tex-Mex) of 21% of our voting-bloc.
