Description
The Field Organizer position is a great opportunity for students as well as recent college graduates interested in working in politics or learning more about the political process.
Field Organizers are the local face of the campaign. The primary responsibility of a Field Organizer is to recruit, manage, and train volunteers to organize their communities into teams that register, persuade, and motivate voters.
Responsibilities:
Developing a plan to organize their turf based on its unique characteristics.
Identifying and cultivating volunteer team leaders.
Personally engaging in direct voter contact, both door-to-door and by phone.
Planning and executing events and trainings.
Building relationships with community leaders.
Writing Letters to the Editor and postcards.
Ensuring the data integrity of the campaign.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
Strong interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in team settings.
Ability to work long and irregular hours.
Valid driver's license and reliable access to a vehicle.
Working laptop and phone.
Ability to meet strict deadlines.
