SUMMARY:
NextGen America is seeking passionate and hardworking candidates to join our youth organizing program in North Carolina, working to engage young people in local and national advocacy, and electoral organizing at the local level. This position will develop operational process, track budgets, and own the overall operations of in-state programs. Candidates for this role should have previous experience in a political or campaign environment, managing budgets, and organizing logistics for events.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain state budget and payments to in-state vendors
- Oversee staff hiring process and human resource activities in the state
- Manage general office needs, including procurement of office supplies and field merchandise/literature
- Track organizational progress and develop comprehensive reports
- Coordinate logistics for in-state field events and organizer training
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Must have previous experience in an operations management position
- At least one cycle of political campaign experience
- Ability to work with campaign budget and paid programs
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps
- Excellent organizational skills
- The ability to adapt rapidly to evolving priorities and deadlines
- Driven by a strong work ethic
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours
