[jobsthatareLEFT by GAIN] Social Media and Communications Coordinator Washington DC

The people of DC live under a potent form of voter suppression. With long roots in racism, the blanket prohibition of casting a ballot for Senators and a voting member of the House renders us voiceless in our national democracy. And with Congress's ability to overturn our local laws, our votes locally are compromised as well. DC Vote plays a lead role in organizing and unifying the partners in the statehood movement, designs strategies to build our visibility and strength, and educates people here at home and across the country about this injustice.
