Digital Associate, Video Production
The Democratic Governors Association (DGA), the campaign committee responsible for electing and supporting Democratic Governors, is seeking a Digital Associate, Video Production for the 2017-2018 election cycles. This individual will provide support to DGA's Digital Department while also assisting across the entire organization.
Position Responsibilities:
· Storyboard, script, research, edit and produce video projects for the Democratic Governors Association Communications & Digital teams from start to finish including editing, graphics, sound, and other post-production adjustments;
· Provide creative direction for digital video products as well as help to develop DGA's rapid response;
· Create an efficient and seamless process for vetting and approval of video content proposals from the beginning of a project to completion;
· Develop innovative and creative opportunities to distribute video assets;
· Assist with the management of DGA online video social media presence on platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter;
· Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
· Equivalent work experience required with at least one to two years in a video production position. Strong portfolio of video projects from concept to completion.
· Knowledge of and experience with Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator and Apple software, and products.
· Organized and detail oriented.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Flexibility with work schedule; this position requires frequent evening and weekend work to respond to breaking news
· The ability to work collaboratively under tight deadlines;
· Experience working (or interning) on political campaigns, political consulting firms, elected officials, campaign committees or progressive organizations.
An interest in politics and a commitment to advancing the principles and goals of the nation's Democratic governors.
The position is based in downtown Washington, DC and comes with full health care benefits. Compensation is $40,000-$44.000. Advancement opportunities may exist for those who excel in this position.
