Field Director – Jim Caffrey for Illinois State Representative
The Field Director will lead a data-driven field plan focusing on IDs, persuasion, and GOTV. This position will directthe recruitment, instruction and management of the campaign's volunteer organization.
Applicants for the position must possess strong organizational and communication skills as well as the ability to multitask and meet deadlines. While the focus is on the Field Operation, this position will also have a role in every aspect of the campaign from media (traditional/social), direct mail, fundraising and finance. The willingness to work extended hours and weekends is required.
The position is located in Elmhurst, IL. The district runs along the eastern portion of DuPage County and includes all or portions of Elmhurst, Oak Brook, Oakbrook Terrace, Hinsdale, Clarendon Hills, and Westmont. It also includes a small portion of Western Springs in Cook County.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Identify, recruit, and train volunteers
· Provide volunteers with positive leadership, culture, resources, and guidance
· Set, meet, and exceed benchmarks for voter contact, volunteer recruitment, grassroots engagement, and GOTV
· Manage the campaign voter database
· Execute a metrics-driven voter turnout program
· Perform other duties as needed
Qualifications:
· Strong interest in Democratic politics and willingness to learn and grow
· Highly organized and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced campaign environment
· Ability to work independently and in team settings
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong public presence and confident interpersonal style
· Familiarity with Google Docs and Microsoft Office tools
· Access to a laptop, car, and a valid driver's license
Compensation:
Commensurate with experience
