Job: Field Director
-- A campaign for State Senate in southern CT is seeking an extremely motivated Field Director who can start immediately and relocate/commute to the Greenwich area. This individual would need to form and lead a data- and volunteer-led effort to unseat an incumbent Republican with a first-time candidate.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Design/reshape and then execute on the Field Plan
- Recruit, manage, and oversee organizers/paid canvassers
- Recruit, manage, and oversee volunteer engagement
- Develop daily, weekly, and monthly reporting structure
- Lead VAN administration
Qualified candidates should have:
- Detailed knowledge of VAN
- The ability to hire competent organizers and canvassers
- Great volunteer management skills
- Experience in working in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment
Extras include (but are by no means necessary) -- please emphasize if relevant
- Working knowledge of GIS
- Experience with first-time candidates
- "Suburban organizing" experience
- Experience in CT Politics
- Experience in a high-income district
- Experience pulling together a field program
- Fun spirit, likes a challenge!
