Robert Kesten for NYS Senate is seeking a full-time Field Organizer to build out and maximize our grassroots volunteer field operation. Robert Kesten has been endorsed by numerous local activist groups, such as Indivisible. The Field Organizer will work directly with the Field Director to develop a Field Operation that can flip this district blue.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Canvassing four to six hours a day
· Recruiting, managing and training volunteers to participate in direct voter contact activities including canvassing, phone banking, and voter registration.
· Meeting and exceeding daily, weekly, and monthly goals including doors knocked, volunteer shift recruitment, and ID voters.
· Coordinating canvasses and phone banks across the district with local activist groups and committees.
· Staffing the candidate at events, such as meets and greets and debates.
Qualifications:
· Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to successfully relate to voters and volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds.
· Ability to work independently and in team settings.
· Excellent time management and organization skills.
· Ability to work long and irregular hours in a fast paced, metrics driven work environment.
· Basic computer literacy and database skills.
· Must have reliable access to a vehicle and a valid driver's license.
· One year of campaign experience or community organizing experience preferred.
· Knowledge of Votebuilder/VAN preferred.
