MoveOn is looking for a part-time researcher to help compile quality information on 100+ candidates. This is a contract for mid-Sept - early Nov. Great side gig / part-time role for someone with research experience!


Request for Proposal: Researcher


Project Scope

MoveOn is endorsing and working to elect 200+ candidates at the federal, state, and local levels this year. We're looking to contract with a researcher who can compile quality topline information on 100+ of our endorsed candidates' district information and about their GOP opposition. We're looking to be able to share findings via a report or memo for storytelling needs between now and the November election.


Proposal Requirements

  • Approach and methodology: Provide a description of your approach to the research and why that is a fit for what MoveOn is requesting.

  • Prior experience: Please share examples of how you have worked with previous clients on similar research projects.

  • Project hypothesis: Based on your previous work and knowledge of MoveOn, please provide a hypothesis on what you believe would best fit the needs of MoveOn as an organization.

  • Bios of trainer(s)/facilitator(s): Please share your bio (if individual) or bios (if firm), including information about previous work experience.

  • Schedule and timeline: Please outline a timeline for the engagement. Proposals are due by EOD Sunday, September 9. Research project should start by Wednesday, September 12.

  • Cost: Include an estimate for all work––including related tasks and deliverables––in your proposal.


Selection Criteria

Proposals will be evaluated by a team comprised of MoveOn staff. Criteria will include, but not be limited to

  • demonstrated experience with research projects;

  • bio, qualifications, and diversity; and

  • cost effectiveness of proposal.

Most-Favorable Terms

  • MoveOn reserves the right to make an award without further discussion of the proposal submitted. Therefore, the proposal should be submitted initially on the most favorable terms that the vendor could propose. There will be no best-and-final-offer procedure. MoveOn does reserve the right to contact a vendor for clarification of its proposal.

  • The vendor should be prepared to accept this request for proposal for incorporation into a contract resulting from this request for proposal. Contract negotiations may incorporate some of or all of the vendor's entire proposal. It is understood that the proposal will become a part of the official procurement file on this matter without obligation to MoveOn.

 

No Obligation to Contract

This request for proposal does not obligate MoveOn to contract for services specified herein.

 

Rejection of Proposals

MoveOn reserves the right at its sole discretion to reject any and all proposals received without penalty and not to issue a contract as a result of this request for proposal.
