Role Overview
The Indiana Democratic Party is seeking Regional Get Out the Vote leads (RGOTVs) to help elect Joe Donnelly and Democrats up and down the ballot in 2018. We are looking for passionate, hardworking individuals who are committed to helping elect Indiana Democrats this year in some of the most hotly contested races in the country. This is a salaried position through mid-November.
The Indiana Coordinated Campaign Regional GOTV Leads will be deployed to key areas across the state to assist in implementing the Get Out the Vote plan. RGOTV Leads will work closely with the Field and Operations teams. While each individual region will vary based upon local political and organizational set-up, a broad scope of duties expected of RGOTV Leads is listed below.
Tasks & Responsibilities

● Supervise and coordinate the recruitment of staging locations for the GOTV phase of the campaign

● Manage literature, supply and materials distribution across assigned region working in coordination with
the GOTV, Field, and Operations departments

● Coordinate with Out of State Department and regional partner organizations to deploy volunteers

● Work hand in hand with Regional Field Director to implement region specific roles and programs
determined by location and program needs

● Lead in development of communication structures and reporting systems for Regional and Staging
Location boiler rooms reporting up to GOTV Leadership

● Assist with planning and execution of regional Surrogate and Principal visits

● Handle technical aspects of compliance and processing for staging locations
Required Qualifications:
-
● Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively and clearly communicate with different types of stakeholders, from high level elected officials to grassroots activists

● Experience meeting deadlines, and the ability to manage many tasks simultaneously

● Strong communication skills and ability to communicate priorities, needs and expectations to organizers
and managers

● Must have access to a vehicle, cell phone and a laptop
-
● Capacity and desire to work long hours in a campaign setting
Preferred Background Experience

● One cycle of campaign experience
-
● Proficiency with Votebuilder/VAN
