Our client is seeking to hire (3) three full-time field organizers between now and the end of June for community-based organizing in Queens, New York. These individuals will help recruit, build, grow, manage and collaborate with volunteers who are door-to-door canvassing and phone canvassing voters in Queens to encourage them to vote for a particular candidate.

 

These field organizers will be held accountable to metrics to ensure we are building the infrastructure necessary to win and are recruiting enough volunteers. They will also be responsible for building relationships with key political players, opinion leaders, union leaders and allied organizations to build our base of support in the county. Critical to this is the proper organization of phone banks, door-to-door canvasses and other GOTV contact methods.

 

There will no doubt be other duties as assigned.

 

Ideal candidates will have strong interpersonal skills, experience meeting deadlines, and the ability to manage many tasks simultaneously, a desire to see progressive changes to our political system and always be professional to colleagues, volunteers and the public.

 

Ideal candidates will have done previous campaign work before.

 

Employees will be paid a salary per month plus benefits. This position runs until the end of June 2019. Evening and weekend hours are required with Friday as a paid day off.
